Our BS in Exercise Science program provides classes, labs and hands-on experiences that teach exercise physiology, biomechanics and psychology. On completion, you're prepared for other health science programs or apply for certification to launch your career.
SAU's BS in Exercise Science program combines physiology principles with experiential learning. You’ll gain the foundation you need in a supportive and collaborative learning environment and prepare to launch your career.
Earn your BS in Exercise Science and MS in Exercise Physiology in four years with our 3+1 program.
Earn your BS in Exercise Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy in five-and-a-half years with our 3+2.5 program.
Classes in our Wellness Center feature exercise labs, classrooms and research-grade equipment.
Get hands-on with metabolic carts, spirometers, Woodway treadmills and more for motion analysis.
Our program is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Earn your certification in personal training (CPT), strength and conditioning (CSCS) or exercise physiology (EPC, ACSM-EP).
Learn the adaptations that occur during and in response to exercise and human movement through a broad-based study of biology, chemistry, physics, anatomy and physiology. Advanced courses include human movement, exercise physiology and scientific research.
