What are Buzz Bucks, and how do they work?

Buzz Bucks serve as a convenient, flexible form of payment at St. Ambrose University. It's the only form of payment accepted at the Rogalski Food Court and the Beehive coffeehouse.

Here's how they work:

Adding Funds: Visit the Sodexo Office in Cosgrove Dining Hall during regular hours to load Buzz Bucks onto your ID card using cash, check, or credit card. Alternatively, call Cosgrove at (563) 333-6360 to add Buzz Bucks.

Added Benefits: For every $100 added, you receive an additional $5 in Buzz Bucks, offering extra value for your purchases.

Spend and Retain: Buzz Bucks don't roll over, but any unused balance added during the semester carries over to the following term.

Payment Flexibility: Accepted at the Food Court along with cash, check, credit and debit cards, Buzz Bucks are available to all students, whether or not they have a meal plan. Students can also use them to bring guests to the Cosgrove Cafeteria.

Buzz Bucks grant you the flexibility to dine across campus, making your dining experiences easy and convenient.

Can I use Cosgrove Cafeteria if I don't live there?

Yes. All you need is your ID card to get into Cosgrove and the cafeteria. You cannot eat at Cosgrove without your ID card. If you lose or misplace your ID, a temporary ID may be obtained from the Dean of Students office and is valid for 24 hours. You can reach them at the Dean of Students office in the Rogalski Center, second floor.

Can I use my meal plan at Rogalski Food Court?

No. The Food Court accepts cash, check, credit and debit cards, and Buzz Bucks. That's why it's a great idea to consider a meal plan that includes Buzz Bucks to provide you with more flexibility in grabbing food while balancing your studies and courses.

Can guests use my meal plan at the cafeteria?

No. Meal plans are not transferable. The meals you do not use are not refundable. You can use your Buzz Bucks at Cosgrove to buy guest meals or to buy meals for yourself if you've used up your meals for the week.

Additional information about meal plans, menus, nutrition, and more can be found at the St. Ambrose dining website.
