About PRISM

Promoting Respect in Sexual Minorities (PRISM) is a group for LGBTQ+ students and allies. The group strives to create a sense of community and a safe space on campus for LGBTQ+ members.

What we do

PRISM holds events such as Gab and Java coffee socials, Pride homecoming tailgate, International Pronoun Day, and we also advocate for LGBTQ+ equality at the Iowa Capitol with local legislators. Our members partner with several organizations in the Quad Cities area, Including Clock Inc, The Project Of The Quad Cities, One Iowa, and Iowa Safe Schools. Every year we gather at Vander Veer Park for our last meeting of the year and a farewell to our graduation seniors.
