I try to cultivate a classroom environment that encourages students to develop their knowledge in chemistry and in soft skills, such as communication and problem solving. I use active learning, small group work, and interacting individually with my students to help them develop these skills. I strive for my students to learn how to successfully solve a wide array of problems and situations they might encounter, both inside and outside the chemistry classroom.
