Joe Golden (MPH ‘22) is the Program Coordinator for the Master of Public Health program, where he supports faculty and students in academic, administrative, and research capacities. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2021, followed by a Master of Public Health in 2022, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with an anticipated graduation in 2025 at St. Ambrose University.
Joseph’s academic and professional focus centers on community health, specializing in vulnerable and marginalized populations. Notably, in partnership with The Project of Quad Cities, the results from his needs assessment identifying health care gaps among LGBTQ+ populations was selected for oral presentations at both the 2023 Illinois Minority Health Conference and the 2024 Public Health Conference of Iowa. His work consistently emphasizes evidence-based solutions for marginalized populations and interdisciplinary collaboration. Highlights of Joe Golden’s work include contributing to several implementation focused research initiatives including projects working on gun violence prevention and youth resilience promotion, in partnership with community members such as Family Resources Inc.
