Dr. Martin is the Associate Dean for College for Health & Human Services, the director of the Master of Social Work program, and an associate professor. She teaches across the social work spectrum specializing in teaching practice courses. Her areas of practice have been child welfare, child bereavement, youth homelessness, and domestic/sexual violence prevention and intervention.
She is a licensed social worker in the state of Iowa and focuses her research on implicit racial bias and its effect on decision making.
