Alexia Cox, BSN, RN is a Clinical Instructor in The Presentation Sister's School of Nursing in the College of Heath and Human Services. With a degree in nursing and a licensed RN in Iowa and Illinois, Alexia has research interests in simulation-based learning, the integration of artificial intelligence in nursing education and practice, and student evaluation and is especially interested in how these areas can enhance clinical judgment, promote student growth, and improve educational outcomes.
Her teaching interests include acute care clinical, health assessment, and mental health nursing, with a particular interest in simulation-based learning. She is particularly interested in the new disaster simulation experience St. Ambrose has because it strengthen clinical judgment, teamwork, communication, and decision-making in a unique large scale interdisciplinary simulation experience.
