Our state-of-the-art hub for fitness programs, wellness resources and sports facilities blends cutting-edge facilities with a holistic approach to wellness.

About the Wellness & Recreation Center

With 80,000 square-feet of new construction, the Wellness & Recreation Center serves as a practice facility for nearly every athletic program. Built in 2017, the building’s features include a 200-meter, 6-lane track; pole vault; long- and triple-jump pits; 4 basketball/volleyball courts; and 2-story cardio/weightlifting workout center.

Features and amenities of the Wellness & Recreation Center

Our Wellness & Recreation Center offers a 200-meter track, extensive cardio and weight rooms, and dedicated spaces for student-athletes and kinesiology students. Enjoy top-tier facilities for fitness, learning, and research.

Field house

Our field house is equipped with a 200-meter, six-lane competition track, pole vaults areas, long- and triple-jump pits; and four basketball/volleyball courts.

Cardio and weight room

Our two-story 5,200-square-foot, cardio/weightlifting workout center is available to all students.

Home to student-athletes

Our 31 varsity athletic teams enjoy private workout spaces and locker rooms on the second floor.

Kinesiology classrooms

Dedicated classrooms for students in Exercise Science, Human Performance and Fitness, and our Master of Science in Exercise Physiology.

Learning labs

Kinesiology students research exercise physiology and human movement in our state-of-the-art labs.

Multipurpose room

A dedicated space for group fitness, cheer and dance team practices, kinesiology courses, and more.

Who uses the Wellness & Recreation Center?

The Wellness & Recreation Center is home to Fighting Bees athletics, the Office of Wellness and Recreation, and the kinesiology, human performance, and fitness majors.

Additionally, students can get involved in campus-wide intramural (competitive and recreational sports), as well as club sports, fitness, and wellness programs.
