Undergraduate Scholars Conference
Event details
Date: April 29, 2026
Join us for the Undergraduate Scholars Conference hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences. This year's keynote is Ana Kelsey-Powell ’15.
Kelsey-Powell, Dominican University's Associate Director for Black Student Initiatives, earned her BA in Theology from St. Ambrose University and is a graduate of Yale Divinity School. Kelsey-Powell is passionate about social justice, pedagogy, and theology.
Her current work centers on supporting persistence and retention among Black and African American students, as well as teaching courses at the intersections of various liberation theologies, pop culture, and the black experience.
When she is not working with students, you can find Kelsey-Powell playing word games, spending time with her nose in a book, or finding ways to cook and bake for her friends, family, and six godchildren.
