The Quad Cities Astronomical Society and St. Ambrose University are hosting a public event at the Menke Observatory this Saturday, August 30, beginning at sunset, 7:30 PM.
This event is free of charge and family friendly. Local astronomy experts will be there to guide you through the night sky using the onsite telescopes, or bring your own telescope to set up on the observatory grounds.
The Menke Observatory is located at the Wapsi River Environmental Education Center, just outside Dixon, Iowa. Go to 31555 52nd Avenue, Dixon, and follow the signs to the Wapsi River Center.
