Fundraiser for Dianne Dye

12/08/2015

On October 2, 2015, our amazing costume designer Dianne Dye experienced a devastating loss. Her husband, Dean, passed away after spending 50 days in the Intensive Care Unit.

This loss was felt throughout the entire St. Ambrose Theatre Department. Dianne is somewhat of a matriarch here. She goes above and beyond to take care of "the kids" of the department. That night, the students went to her house in order to be with Dianne during such a difficult time.

As you can imagine, the cost for this kind of hospitalization has been overwhelming. St. Ambrose will be hosting a fundraiser, "An Evening to Remember: A Celebration for Dianne Dye" to help with such costs. The event will include a wide variety of entertainment from performers around the country and alumni of St. Ambrose University. The neighbors of Dianne have also assembled a bevy of treasures to bid on at a silent auction.

The fundraiser is Tuesday, December 15 in the Galvin Fine Arts Center at St. Ambrose University. Cocktails (appetizers and cash bar) and the Silent Auction will begin at 5:30pm. The performances will begin at 7:00pm.

Performers include:
Don Abbott Lou Hare Emily Kurash Stephanie Seward
Andrew Benson Dan Hernandez Ron May Daniel Sheridan
Ron DeWitt Jim Hesselman Phil McKinley Dan Stahl
Kristofer Eitrheim Greg Hiatt Aaron Randolph Ted Stephens
Shellee Frazee Jonathan Johnson Lynne Rothrock Jenny Stodd
Kim Furness Seth Kaltwasser Jill Schmits Bill Thiessen
Chris Galvan Michael Kennedy Randy Shoemaker
Daniel Rairdin-Hale

Tickets are $25*. All proceeds go to support the Dean Dye Medical Expense Fund. Please help us support Dianne!

*Admission is free for all currently enrolled SAU students.
