Elisa Huff, PhD, CCC-SLP

Dr. Huff teaches a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including the MSLP Program's capstone courses. Her clinical practice focuses on fluency disorders, literacy, acquired disorders of speech, language and cognition, speech production disorders in children and voice and communication training for transgender adults.

Dr. Huff's primary research interests are twofold. One area of research interest is single subject case designs assessing impact of speech-language pathology services on persons' perceived quality of life. The second area of research interest is assessing preparedness of undergraduate students to enter graduate speech-language pathology programs and assessing graduate student outcomes.

Dr. Huff is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and several ASHA Special Interest Groups: Neurogenic Communication Disorders, Fluency and Fluency Disorders, Issues in Higher Education, Administration and Supervision and Gerontology. Dr. Huff is also a member of the International Fluency Association (IFA).
