Ruby A. Batimana is the newest member of the MPH Program Team. Currently serving as the Evaluator for the SAMHSA grant in partnership with The Robert Young Center. She is also the current Chair of the Davenport Civil Rights Commission and an adjunct teacher at Orion Technical College.
Originally born in the Philippines and migrated to the United States with her family. Ruby relishes spending her time with her 3 wonderful boys, who are looking forward to traveling again.
Her experiences in working in different nonprofit organizations and advocating for the underserved led her to pursue and receive her Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law and Policy from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Her passion for public health, social justice, and her drive for public service pushed her to work furthering her education, she is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Public Health degree (with Health Leadership and Advocacy focus) at Capella University.
