Inside the Galvin Fine Arts Center

An exhibition space in the lobby of Galvin Fine Arts and Communications Center displays the work of professional artists and students. 

The Morrissey Gallery is named in honor of the Morrissey family, longtime supporters of St. Ambrose University.

Douglas Degges is an artist and educator currently based in Mansfield Center, Conn., where he is an Assistant Professor of Art in Painting and Drawing at the University of Connecticut.

About the Gallery


The gallery has featured art in a wide spectrum of media by artists from all over the country. Students and professional artists alike find the glass exhibition cases to be an engaging venue for the public.

Submission Guidelines

Exhibitions in the Morrissey Gallery run for approximately 5-6 weeks. For more information, please download the application and gallery diagram both pdfs).

Eligibility

Open to all artists 18 years of age or older who live within a 200-mile radius of Davenport, Iowa.

Preference is given to artists working within fields that support our academic majors: Book Arts and Printmaking; Graphic Design; and Painting/Drawing.

There is no application fee.
