The Capstone in Sport Management class, as part of the Sport Management program, hosted an industry and networking event Nov. 14 in the Rogalski Center Ballroom.
The first hour included two moderated panels with these industry practitioners:
- Jacqueline Holm, Quad City River Bandits
- Doug Bland, Quad City Steamwheelers
- Clair Peterson, John Deere Classic
- Bruce Mace, Scott County YMCA
- Dr. Algerian Hart, Western Illinois University
- Gary Thrapp, Beyond the Baseline
- Theresa Hauman, Davenport Parks and Recreation
- Mike Ernst, Chicago Fire Soccer* (keynote speaker and SAU alum)
The event also featured an hour of networking, along with an internship fair with booths set up by several sport organizations, including the Quad City River Bandits, the Quad City Mallards, Davenport Parks and Recreation, St. Ambrose Campus Recreation, and the Quad City Raiders.
The event was attended by SAU students, faculty, and staff, as well as students from the University of Iowa, Loras College, and Grand View University.
