Journey back to Paris under the Eiffel Tower when the Moulin Rouge was the place to be. It was an exciting time for composers and visual artists alike when they changed the course of history with their music and Impressionist canvases. Such is the inspiration for the dance and music today.
This unique collaboration was inspired by the upcoming Figge Art Museum exhibit "French Moderns." The performance features SAU faculty Marian Lee, piano, Nathan Windt, voice, Robert Hadesbeck, clarinet, Naha Greenholtz, the QCSO concertmaster, Benjamin Loeb, piano, Jeiran Hasan, flute and Michelle Crouch, voice. It's part of the "Visual Narratives" College of Arts and Sciences project series.
Ballet Quad Cities and the St. Ambrose Music Department partner with the Figge Art Museum to bring you Paris en Pointe.
