In its 34th year, BeeRead, SAU's summer reading clinic, is working with 23 area children in grades 1-8 to promote lifelong literacy skills. The day begins with group storytime, following by one-on-one instruction provided by their SAU "reading buddy."
"The BeeRead community clinic is a wonderful way for children to improve reading skills, take advantage of individualized instruction and benefit from exposure to a college setting," says Deanna Stoube, clinic director.
"BeeRead is fun," says one participant, reading a story about a princess with her SAU student "buddy."
