KALA is providing exclusive coverage of the Democratic National Convention in the Spanish language. "Linea Abierta," which will originate live from the Convention Floor in Denver, Colo., will air:

Wednesday, Aug. 27
2-4 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 28
8-10 p.m. - Acceptance Speech
KALA has served the Quad Cities with Spanish/Hispanic programming for 30 years.
Radio Bilingüe’s executive producer Samuel Orozco will host live interviews and roundtable discussions from broadcast sites by the convention floor, and a team of reporters from Radio Bilingüe and partner station WRTE, Radio Arte, Chicago, will file news reports from inside and outside the convention center.
This special convention coverage is part of the year-long Hacia el Voto 2008 series that began airing in January through “Linea Abierta on the Road,” a special itinerant series originating from the home site of partnering stations throughout the nation.
Radio Bilingüe’s Hacia el Voto 2008 news team will continue its extensive coverage of the elections at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., Sept. 1-4.
