Professor of Management
In addition to most recently serving as the Dean of the College of Business (July 2018 - May 2023) and as a Professor of Managment at St. Ambrose University, Dr. Espina is the former Dean of Business at the Ana G. Mendez University in Puerto Rico. Maritza is also the Executive Director & Program Chair for the Sustainability, Ethics and Entrepreneurship (SEE) Conference & Consortium. Since its inception in 2012, the SEE continues to build a worldwide community connecting entrepreneurship scholars who recognize that sustainability and ethics are growth engines (not just acts of compliance).
Maritza enjoys connecting people and organizing activities. She has recently served the ENT Division as a member of the Communications Committee. She has also volunteered in different professional organizations; including being the president of the Northeastern Council of Business Schools and Programs (2011-2014) and the Academic Chair of the Council of Latin American Schools of Business CLADEA 2011 Annual Meeting (+600 submissions).
Her research has been presented at the Academy of Management, Babson Conference, and Strategic Management Society; and published in the Journal of Management, and others.
