7th and 8th graders to explore careers in health care
This camp is a unique collaboration between St. Ambrose University and local health care, health and fitness agencies in the Quad Cities. It's patterned after a successful health careers education camp in Madison, Wisconsin.
What Students Will Learn
During this day camp participants are introduced to a variety of health professions. The camp allows the student to experience firsthand the challenges, opportunities and rewards of health professions through hands-on learning sessions provided by faculty and practicing clinicians.
Campers will be supervised by faculty and students, currently enrolled in health science educational programs. Job shadow opportunities in different health care professions, disability awareness, and diversity training also will be part of the Health Adventure experience.
