How did you grow as a person within the SAU community?
"The university fostered my passion for Criminal Justice and gave me an immersive experience. I learned that hard work and getting involved provides endless opportunities. Learning from knowledgeable and well-versed professors, creating professional contacts, and being involved in many projects gave me an experience I never dreamed I would have. The attention to detail and work ethic that SAU instilled in me is something I will be able to use for the rest of my life," he says.
How did SAU prepare you for your current career?
Grant got so many opportunities to expand his learning as an undergraduate and graduate student. "I was involved in research projects throughout my time in the Master of Criminal Justice program. Those research opportunities led me to help present findings at the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences Conference. That experience exposed me to a network of working professionals and added invaluable experience to my resume," he says.
Why Choose the Criminal Justice Program?
"Law enforcement and the legal community have always fascinated me. When I started at St. Ambrose, I took a handful of electives that exposed me to the Criminal Justice department. I knew right away this was the program for me, and I would easily make the decision again if given the chance. The professors and quality of instruction throughout the Criminal Justice program is unparalleled," Grant says.
