Testing for COVID-19 is available for SAU students, faculty, and staff who have been flagged by the HealthCheck 360 Symptom Tracker.

Per health and safety guidelines, and in consultation with the Scott County Health Department, all individuals testing positive are in isolation. The Scott County Health Department conducts contact tracing and makes further recommendation for testing or quarantine of others according to their exposure.

Faculty, staff, and students total approximately 3,600 in Fall 2020. Residential student numbers are reduced by approximately 1,200 November 20, 2020 - January 15, 2021 due to distance-only learning and academic breaks.

2024 brown street

Testing Location

2024 Brown St., Davenport

Test Iowa will conduct testing at 2024 Brown St. (two blocks west of campus, near Brown and W. High streets), a University-owned house. Parking is available across the street.

Results Available: within 48 hours

Winter Break Hours: M-F, 9 a.m.-Noon


How to Get Tested


Students and employees seeking campus testing for the COVID-19 virus through the Test Iowa College site are required to complete the following steps:

  1. Follow this link to the proper Test Iowa College page.
  2. Complete Personal Information and use the St. Ambrose University address and zip code. (518 W. Locust St., Davenport, Iowa, 52803.) You will not be approved for university testing should you use another address.
  3. Select testing site location, St. Ambrose University
  4. Once approved
    – you will receive a QR code to print or present on your mobile device at the testing site.
    – you must call 563-333-5678 to schedule an appointment at the testing site located at 2024 Brown Street, a university-owned house near the Galvin parking lots.
