The Seventies

Edward Svetich Jr. '72 and his wife, Terese (Van Fleet), will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a trip to Australia and New Zealand in the spring. The couple met at St. Ambrose as freshmen, when Terri was a student at Marycrest College.

Susan (Eisentrager) Warner '76 has retired from a career as an English teacher in Normal, Illinois.

Ray Shovlain '79, '82 MBA was recognized as the Athletic Administrator of the Year in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference and is a nominee for national NAIA honors.

John Showalter '79 was appointed as the co-executive producer and director of the television series Supernatural, at Warner Brothers in Burbank, California. Showalter previously has directed episodes of Timeless, S.W.A.T., The 100, The Mentalist and numerous other series.

The Nineties

The Most Rev. Robert Gruss '90 was selected by Pope Francis as the seventh bishop in the Diocese of Saginaw (Michagan). Bishop Gruss continues to serve in several other capacities, including the St. Ambrose University Board of Trustees.

Patricia Loehrer '91 is the chancellor for the Diocese of Cheyenne in Wyoming.

Robert Junker '96 MBA was appointed president of Lydall Technical Nonwovens in Manchester, Connecticut.

Kelley (Sullivan) Flynn '96 recently accepted the position of admission director at Smith Village in Chicago, Illinois.

The Zeros

Jason Lowry '01 MBA is vice president of operations for Michigan Sugar Company in Bay City, Michigan.

Kam Williams '03 joined Augustana College as the first director of disability services. She will connect students with accommodations in and outside of the classroom.

Erin (Coughlin) Larkin '04 is a strategy coach for Advance Your Reach in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Jason Woodley '04 MEA was appointed as the curriculum director and administrator of Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Jeannette Archer-Simmons '05 MBA was appointed executive director of the Area Substance Abuse Council for counties in eastern Iowa.

David Cahill III '09 earned a Doctor of Education in Leadership from St. Mary's University in Minnesota.

Andrea Potter '09 accepted a position as a tax manager for Geffen Mesher in Portland, Oregon.

Michael Roeser '09 accepted a position as brand coordinator for Club Colors in Schaumburg, Illinois.

The Teens

Jen (Lickteig) Cross '11 is vice president for donor relations at the Great Outdoors Foundation in Des Moines, Iowa.

Erin Phelps '11 accepted a new position as special education para educator for Buchanan Elementary School in Davenport. Previously she served as a general education para educator. She also is the program lead for Stepping Stones OST Program.

Jacob Foecke '12 is the controller for Merschman Seeds in West Point, Iowa.

James Sobucki III '12 recently accepted a flight attendant position with Frontier Airlines in Denver, Colorado.

Christine (Eden) Hellyer '13 is a customer service coordinator for Canadian Pacific Railway in Winnipeg, Canada.

Derek Schreiner '14 MBA accepted a position as assistant dean for Business and Career Technologies (CTE) for Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

J. Allyson Smith '14 is a forensic mental health therapist in the Winnebago County Jail in Rockford, Illinois.

Megan Willard '15 is a customer service representative for Symetra Life Insurance in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Katie Zorn '15 is a staff accountant supervisor for Viega LLC in Broomfield, Colorado.

Brianna (Bellman) Herrig '16 is a functional supply chain analyst for Allsteel Inc., in Muscatine, Iowa.

Shelby Leemans '16 is clinic manager for Genesis Health Group in Davenport.

Jada Mathison Light '16 is a school-based therapist for Life Connections in Clinton, Iowa.

Elizabeth (Bral) Murphy '17 is a resource teacher in the Kewanee School District in Kewanee, Illinois.

Luke Quinlan '17 is the events manager for High 5 Lanes & Games, at the TBK Bank Sports Complex in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Alyssa Willey '17 is a senior digital marketing strategist for Acumen Studio in St. Louis, Missouri.
