Thank you for coming back for Homecoming 2019! We were thrilled to see so many alumni return to campus, whether it was to attend one of our signature events or just to reminisce with old classmates. You can view the 2019 photos here.

Class of '70 Social

Join the campus community to show your SAU spirit! Families are welcome.
Meet friends and enjoy complimentary appetizers and beer. This event has become a favorite way alumni kick off Homecoming weekend at a familiar watering hole.
25th Annual Killer Bee
Hit the road with fellow bees in this fun race near campus. 5k will begin at 8 a.m. and the one mile fun run starts at 9 a.m.
Student-led campus walking tours lasting approximately one hour with stops at the Chapel and Wellness and Recreation Center.
Basement to Attic Tour - Ambrose Hall
Take part in an in-depth tour of Ambrose Hall with the St. Ambrose Director of Physical Plant Jim Hannon '82. Learn about the building's history and renovations. Revisit your time as a student by climbing all four flights of stairs to the top (and then back down)!
SAU Archives Open House
Explore photos, yearbooks, newspapers, and memorabilia from through St. Ambrose's history. If you'd like to donate your SAU items, our Archivist will be on hand to assist. Light refreshments served.
Taste of Ambrose
The party before the game! Come see the Barney the Bee and members of our spirit squad. Enjoy the face painter, caricature artist, bounce houses, alumni beer garden, photo booth, and giveaway game. Grab some food (available for purchase) before heading to the first home football game of the season! It's a family-friendly event that attracts alumni from all reunion years.

BOLD (Bees of the Last Decade) Reunion
Classes of 2010 & 2015 will be recognized
The Bees of the Last Decade get together each Homecoming at the Alumni House and is open to classes between 2010-2020. Music will be provided by Dave Baker of KALA. Visit the Reunions page for more details.

Affinity Reunions are reunions that tie together a group of alumni in some way other than their class year. It could be a student activity group, a degree program, or an athletic team. Visit the Reunions page for more details.
Celebrate Mass on campus once again. Students, alumni, and parents come together to end Homecoming weekend in our campus chapel.
McMullen Legacy Circle Brunch
By special invitation only. A brunch celebrating those who have made provisions for St. Ambrose in their estate plans. Class of 1970 invited as this year's special guests.
Homecoming FAQ (updated for Homecoming 2019)
During Homecoming, the bookstore will be open Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The bookstore is located in the Rogalski Center. Purchase two or more alumni items and receive 25% your order!
What hotel do you recommend? The preferred hotel of St. Ambrose University is the Best Western PLUS SteepleGate Inn, located just off I-80 on the north side of Davenport. Information about the hotel and rates can be found online. There are a number of other hotels in town that may fit your needs. Some may offer a special rate if you mention you are returning for SAU's Homecoming.
Will the bookstore be open? Yes! The hours are Friday and Saturday from 8am to 5pm and Sunday from 9:30am to noon. The bookstore is located on the bottom level of the Rogalski Center and is always available online.
Will I be able to see Fr. Catich's work while I am on campus? Yes! The University is pleased to display much of Fr. Catich's work throughout campus. While you are visiting St. Ambrose, consider stopping by the following areas to appreciate his work: CStations of the Cross and numerous pieces in the gathering space. Lsome slates are located on the 1st floor and additional work is on the 3rd floor. Library staff will be able to assist you. In addition, you can view the Catich Collection Digital Archive anywhere, any time.
What buildings will be open during Homecoming weekend? Galvin Fine Arts Center, the Library, Christ the King Chapel, and the Rogalski Center will be open through most of the weekend. Ambrose, Cosgrove, Hayes, McCarthy, McMullen (depending on construction) Halls and the Wellness and Recreation Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, allowing alumni the chance to reminisce. All our residence halls require keycard access at all times for our students' safety. All off-campus buildings, including the Center for Health Sciences and the Dome will not be accessible for general alumni tours, but may be hosting specific events.

Who are the Bees playing on Saturday? Sienna Heights at 1 pm. Make sure to be at the stadium by 12:40 pm to see the pregame show!
Will campus tours be available? Yes, tours are offered on Saturday. See the details above.
What is the suggested attire, parking, RSVP policy, etc. for the weekend's events? Each event has different criteria. Please check your specific event for these details. Causal attire is acceptable unless otherwise noted.
Where can I park on campus that weekend? All parking areas will be open during the weekend and guests are welcome to choose the lot most convenient for their plans. However, it's important to note that while parking spots will be available, those closest to the Rogalski Center might be at a premium. For those that are able to walk a short distance, we recommend parking in the lots across from the Galvin Fine Arts Center and McMullen Hall (on the other side of Gaines Street).
What reunions are being celebrated this year? 1969 Men and Marycrest women (50th)/Emeritus, Bees of the Last Decade (2009-2019), Softball Team, Engineering, and Romecoming. In addition, we invite the classes of 2004 and 1999 to join us at Taste of Ambrose to receive a special giveaway, and the classes of 1994, 1989, and 1979 are invited to join us at Circle Tap to receive their giveaway.
Are the nurses celebrating a reunion this year? The Nurses of 1959 will be attending the Emeritus Reunion on September 22 to celebrate their 60th reunion.
Who's invited to the Emeritus reunion? Anyone who has graduated prior to 1969.
Can I still come back if it isn't my reunion year? Yes, we understand that your graduation year may not be the year (or only year) with which you identify. All we ask is that you RSVP for the reunion you plan to attend. If you wish to change your reunion year, please let our office know so you can be alerted of activities related to your preferred years.
Are RSVPs required for the reunion? In order to provide a quality experience, we ask that those attending their reunion RSVP online or by contacting the Alumni Office at 800-SAU-ALUM.
Can I pay the day of the reunion? Many reunions have reduced pricing for paying early which may affect your decision. Please check out the Event Store for details on your specific reunion. BOLD will accept payment at the door, but it will be $20 instead of $15. Emeritus will accept payment at the door, but attendees must pay before Aug. 30 to get the $30 price. The price at the door will be $40 per person.
What type of accommodations can be made? 1969/Emeritus - The Rogalski Center is handicap accessible and dietary accommodations can be made if Alumni staff are alerted one week prior to the event. BOLD - The Alumni House is handicap accessible. Dietary accommodations not possible due to the hors d'oeuvres layout of this menu. All other reunions - contact the party in charge for more details.
Can I bring my children? Children are invited to many of our Homecoming festivities, but the Emeritus and BOLD reunions are limited to adult guests. For all other reunions, please contact the party in charge for this question.
Will weather affect the reunions? All reunions will happen rain or shine and no alternate location is needed.
